An Open Letter to the Paris Attackers
Friday the 13th of November will be a day so
heavily remembered around the world. Not for what you have done but for how you've
once again shown us what it means to be united.
It’s sad to think that you actually feel like you have
accomplished something. Yes, you have taken far too many innocent lives but
your poor attempt at fearmongering has only added fuel to the ever-growing inferno.
Your actions have not only put an emphasis on how much of a cowardly
organisation you are a part of but they have also united nations to stand
strong in the face of adversity.
I cannot emphasise how unfathomable your act of cowardice is.
What exactly does anyone achieve from slaughtering innocent people who have
absolutely no way of defending themselves? No, you are not a martyr. You
represent nothing but a group of spineless killers.
The thing is, terrorism has no religion. You say you are
fighting for Islam in the name of Allah but you only contradict your own
beliefs. Of course religion is open to interpretation but you fundamentally
misinterpret Islamic values to suit your own cruel devices. You do not in any
way belong to the Islamic faith, you merely feed off of that excuse to spread
fear and controversy amongst non-believers.
But I can only commend you on your efforts, the outcome you
were hoping for has turned out to be the complete opposite. Paris will
inevitably be in mourning now but with each lost life we grieve for, we stand
together and we stand stronger. United in solidarity, you will not defeat us.
Instead of driving fear into our hearts, you drive us forward to fight against
terrorism.
Your hatred for the West does not scare us, it does not provoke us, it only prepares us. We will not stand back and watch you bully other countries. We will fight back and we will fight back stronger than ever. Good luck. You have no idea what you have started.
So well written, very true.
